Cinnabar Bracelet · The Eight Protectors of the Chinese Zodiac

A bracelet inspired by one of the most well-known symbolic traditions in East Asian popular Buddhism: the association between the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac and the so-called Eight Protectors.

The piece is crafted with round cinnabar beads measuring approximately 8 mm, in a deep, vibrant red, combined with a decorative central bead and a traditionally inspired metal spacer.

Red holds a very special place in Chinese culture. Traditionally, it is associated with joy, vitality, prosperity, and good wishes. For this reason, it has been used for centuries in celebrations, decorative objects, and culturally inspired pieces.

The metal spacer incorporates Eastern-inspired motifs, such as the lotus flower, traditional geometric patterns, and Chinese characters related to the idea of protection.
