"Joy on the Branches 喜上眉梢" Reversible Scarf · 180 × 70 cm
A long scarf made of polyester, featuring a reversible, dual-sided, dual-color design inspired by one of the most well-known auspicious motifs in Chinese culture: 喜上眉梢 (Xǐ shàng méi shāo).
The composition combines birds among flowering branches, evoking the traditional motif of the magpie on the plum blossom.
In Chinese culture, the magpie, 喜鹊 (xǐquè), is considered a bird associated with joy and good news. The plum blossom, 梅花 (méihuā), represents strength, renewal, and hope.
The expression 喜上眉梢 literally means "joy reaches the eyebrows" and is used to describe happiness so evident that it can be seen on one's face.
This traditional motif is interpreted as a wish for good news, happiness, fortune, and favorable events.
Set against a warm background of terracotta and red tones, the flowers and birds create an elegant and meaningful composition, while the ornamental border reinforces its classic character.
